application à bugs, mal developpée, bref à fuir !
On my Mac this software just keeps on hanging on an hourly base (that is hyper-optimisticly phrased!). Whenever it hangs I need the Activity Monitor to force it out - as it does not even respond to close requests.
...when I turned off all Popups in Prefences/Notification it cured - never had a crash again. Otherwise the best app of all I tried.
After a fairly brief installation process (Im not sure why I need to pick a theme just to install the thing), I get a blank screen. The menu doesnt even work. I Force-Quit the app and launched again only to have to go through the install again. Still all I get is a blank screen. Clicking on New Tweet gives me a message that I had to sign in (what?!). I signed in and STILL get nothing. Uninstalling and going to find something that actually WORKS.
My tweet deck stopped working and this application is so far the best Ive found with multiple panes and threads… love it!!
I was using Tweetdeck, but got tired of how it sucked resources and was constantly needing updates installed. Janetter has a lower public profile, but handles all my needs without the hassles.
Works well for me. Nice layout and easy to use.
What I like best about Janetter is the tabs for current feed, groups (one or more) and messages that expand into columns if the app is stretched out. I would love it even more if I could use Identi.ca in the app.
App keeps quitting constantly after being open for about 5 minutes… annoying! Otherwise, seems to be very functional. Would love to get some use out of it, though..
Every time someone sends me a tweet or gives me a favourite this app will annilhilate itself… Beyond annoying as Ive been waiting for an update to fix this for months and nothing has happened.
Quite plain looking and I can’t access my ‘Favorites’ so I have to use the real Twitter website. This app is alright for the standard stuff.
Excellent app for keeping twitter searches in real time. The only issue I have is the app stops functioning after my Mac wakes from sleep. Restarting the app restores everything. This is for 4.3.2 (14)
Gives wings to twitter!
What I miss in this aplication is hiding/showing read tweets, like I had in Nambu, the best twitter application ever, but no longer developed. Janetters window takes also to much screen estate, but it is a lesser problem.
Its a good application but after using osfoora and official twitter client janetter looks very bad. Even the icon.
One of the best. Please, fix bug with mobypicture preview and шэдд rate you as five-star app :)
Feels like a web portal pointing to a custom web app. Makes for a very lacking UI/UX - especially on any high-DPI display. Opened it, closed it, removed it from my computer. Dont forget to pull the application auth from your twitter profile!
I’ve been using Janetter for a couple of months and I agree this is a great app although it took a little bit of learning as not all the links and buttons are completly intuitive. The only shortcoming is that twitter links open in a browser instead of a window in Janetter.
Love it, love it, love it! Has really cute themes that you can customize. You can customize font size too, and yes easy to use. I wish the Pro version had some more inticing upgrades or I’d buy it. (Only difference is free version you can register up to 3 accounts, pro up to 7) But I love using it, it’s always open on my dock and it’s been than Tweetdeck to me.
However, every time I sign back onto the computer, Janetter very slowly reloads the last 20-30 directly replies that I have already seen AND esponded to. Annoying. Takes a few minutes. Go for Twitter takes you right back to where you left off. Also, no way in Janetter to retweet and comment at same time.
