Doesn’t work at all I see in the developers comments that you cant register accounts anymore through this app but recommends the pro version. Like some others pointed out below received the “Sorry please try again later, This application cannot authenticate more users at this time”. After about three weeks I was finally was able to login. Now when the application opens it crashes immediately. I havent been able to use it at all. Deleting it today. I was planning on Upgrading but I see about 5 reviews on the Pro page with one saying they have received no support and the application continus to have isssues. One thing I look for now before throwing money at applications is how interactive the developers are in responding to issues. I am sure many others like me have spent a dolllar here a dollar there a few more it adds up and before you know it you spent a Tank of gas on a bunch of crappy applications. If this application will not work anymore why is it still on here? Are Twitter applications no longer supported by Twitter? Even the Pro version. IF so why are these applications taking up space on here?
This has been my go-to Twitter app since I bought my MacBook Pro. I upgraded to Yosemite today, and now the app keeps crashing. At first it was just when I clicked on one of the images to view it. Now it crashes when I try to launch it. Please release a fix for Yosemite and I’ll update my rating. Thanks.
Loved this app until I upgraded to Yosemite. Now it crashes immediately. Not worth getting Pro version if its going to crash too.
Application was working great until the most recent OS update. Since then, I can barely click on anything without it crashing and when it is not the most forward window, a white layover occurs, hiding pretty much the entire timeline. This app has been by far my favorite Twitter app for its ease of use and customization, however, it needs to be more consistently updated before I decide to use it again.
I’ve been using Janetter happily for years, but ever since the Yosemite update, it’s a disaster — basically crashes if I so much as scroll over it. Even before it started crashing all the time, I haven’t been able to open pictures in the app for weeks. If this doesn’t get fixed SOON, I’ll have to find something else.
This worked great for a couple of years, but with the new Yosemite OS, it is useless. Crashes constantly and the screen has this weird whiteout thing over it most of the time.
Hey, I just downloaded this app and it works just fine. Don’t know what the notes are about concerning not being able to register your account. I signed in, took about 15 seconds, and now it’s open and working. I’ll correct this review if it goes sour on me. But as of right now, no problem. :)
One annoying bug is that after waking up, it usually has to be re-started to get my twitter feeds back. This is a new defect introduced in the last few weeks.
New bug in this version. I have to quit and restart the app to refresh feeds.
I love this app when it works. It seems like every time Apple does an upgrade to the OS, Janetter goes in the tank. They finally got it working well with Yosemite but with the latest OS update, Janetter crashes before it even starts.
Not sure what is happening with the app, but today it crashed and refuses to re-open. I have uninstalled and re-installed and it still won’t open. Hoping there is a fix in the works for whatever bug is causing this.
Like the app (for OS X), but now it crashes once it starts to open. I reinstalled it, but same issue.
Pefect uder all previous OSX versions, this application is not ready for Yosemite! The program crashes when I call it up. I went to the official blog, but found no help there.
Love the product, works well once its authenticated to your account, however its hard to attach to your account from multiple devices. I managed to get it working for one laptop, then hacked the config and moved it over to make it work on another - but the mobile app and my tablet dont work. I can’t fault the App for this entirely, its likely a twitter API issue.
For my needs. Works well and does what I need but who doesn’t want more? It’s not bad-looking but it could be prettier.
Instaleld it, tried to connect it to twitter and all I get is this error message "This application cannot authenticate more users at this time.” - so I can’t use it at all. And I see no support options on their website. Am I missing something?
At the moment the app is absolutely useless because Twitter returns this message when I try to add the first user to the app: “Sorry, please try again later. This application cannot authenticate more users at this time.”
I got the same message about no more users at this time, but I tried again a half hour later and authenticated with no problem. Once I connected there have never been any difficulties. I like the variety of skins and being able to sort tweets with the newest at the bottom rather than the top. I start my reading by going to the next unread tweet in a list tab and just scroll down from there. I like that Janetter shows the number of unread tweets in the tab as well as the total for all tabs. The one thing I would like to see is when I read a tweet in a list tab, it would also be marked as read in the home tab. I want to be able to find unread tweets that didn’t appear in any of my lists.
I organize my twitter by lists and I have to say Janetter is the best app on the market for this… as long as you can connect. As others mentioned below the unalbe ot authenticate error is quite frustrating but I kept coming back to Janetter because I could not find another app in the store that met my needs. Hopefully this issue will be resolved, though considering last update for the app was in Febraury, who knows. Still, it’s 4 stars for me because of the very few apps available that really support twitter’s list funcationality.
