Janetter for Twitter App Reviews

I don’t understand why this app is still availabe in the app store. There is no support page for the app but on the company’s blog page they write that there are no more tokens available for new accounts. If you can’t authorize a new account on it why make the app available to new users? Annoying!

I’ve used several tools for Twitter and many of them are quite good. I saw the substantially better reviews for Janetter and dicided to give it a go. It was a short trip. I went to authorize the app with twitter and was met with "This application cannot authenticate more users at this time.”.

I was lil’ worried once I decided to try it, because of authentication problems other reviews brought up. But you know what? As of aug 28, I had no problem whatsoever authenticating it. Just followed the steps on the blog (Login to Twitter from web browser first, register the acc by “Sign in with Twitter” on Janetter) and worked like a charm. Once you’re in, forget about the rest, enjoy the (imho) best free functional app for Twitter and spend the money you would probably drop on TweetBot on something else.

I like this application , it works well as my Twitter platform . It does everything I want it to do easily. very versatile. So far I am liking this update.

I run three twitter accounts and follow a handfull of searches/tags with this tool. It is great, not too heavy. Does a good job of keeping things distinct.

What a dreadful interface. Couldnt figure out how to get anything done, like open a new column to follow a specific hashtag. Just horrible. After fighting with the horrible UI for a few minutes, I deleted it.

When Twitter updated to be able to quote a tweet without using characters, Janetter did not follow suit. Not sure if that’s on them or the API, but it makes it very hard to follow tons of accounts that are quote tweeting with just a link showing. They’d get the fifth star if they fixed that.

There is no better way of following multiple threads and hashtags at the same time. Each column is a single twitter account or window on its own, and all are right next to each other. This is positively brilliant on a wide screen. The only problem with this app is that I cannot have more than 7 accounts linked to it.

Hands-down the best Twitter client for Mac. Its simple yet fully-featured interface allows me to view all my accounts’ feeds, mentions, and (best of all) LISTS! Thank you for making this! Now, I do mainly use Twitter to read content, as I post tweets from other apps that I use. So I can’t speak much to how posting tweets from this app works yet. But am loving it so far. Honestly, I almost didn’t download it (I think because the icon is green and I expect Twitter related apps to be blue?), but am I glad I took a chance and downloaded this. You should do the same!

This app is elegantly simple. It does what I need it to do. Can’t think of any higher praise than that!
